Treasures and tombs will remind you of the glory of the tracian rullers in this land.
North of the Balkan mountains is the old capital – Veliko Tarnovo with the anciont fortress wonderfully lit during the night. The foothills of the mountain is where the revival architecture, arts and crafts florished 200 years ago – in the small towns and villages of Tryavna, Bojentci, Kotel, Jeravna… A complex of rock monasteries and medieval fortreesses you can find not far from the Danube river, the Northern border of Bulgaria.
